USSR Order of the October Revolution

The Soviet Order of the October Revolution was introduced in 1967, just in time for the 50th Anniversary of the Revolution. It was awarded to individuals or groups for the promotion of communism or the state, or for the defense of the Soviet Union itself.

The obverse of the award features the image of the Soviet Cruiser Aurora during the October Revolution beneath a banner translating to "October Revolution". The medals come pre-mounted onto a red and white ribbon, as seen in the picture.
