WWII German Army Cross Belt or Dagger Hanger Clip.

This is the type of fitting that was used to secure a cross belt to the waist belt and also as a dagger hanger.

This spring loaded clip measures 47mm x 27mm at its widest point. The aperture for the strap measures 20mm. It has a nickel finish with a steel spring clip.  It is made at the original factory in Germany employing the same tools and dies used during the Third Reich.
