Product Details

The Friedrich-August Cross was a German decoration of the First World War. It was set up on 24 September 1914 by Frederick Augustus II, Grand Duke of Oldenburg, with two classes. It was awarded to "all persons of military or civilian status, who have shown outstanding service during the war itself".

This is the 1st class award and comes with the correct pin-back fastening. It features a black cross with the crowned cypher of the Grand Duke and the date 1914, circled with laurel leaves.
