Product Details

This stunning watch was inspired by the original 'Dirty Dozen' watches issued to British forces near the end of WWII, classic timepieces, and we are very proud to offer our customers this unique and official Ailager® watch.

Durign the war the British MoD needed to issue top qulaity watches to their personnel, and so invited twelve Swiss manufacturers to fulfill the orders; resulting in the nickname ‘The Dirty Dozen’.

They were: Buren, Cyma, Eterna, Grana, Jaeger Le-Coultre, Lemania, Longines, IWC, Omega, Record, Timor and Vertex. These were all delivered in 1945 and accompanied by a pigskin or canvas strap.

Occasionally the dials or hands would have been replaced with cheaper alternatives known as MoD or NATO dials, at which point the manufacturer's name was usually replaced with a serial number. All of our reproductions feature the NATO dials.

This watch features dual quartz movement, battery-operated, with separate seconds dial, and glow in the dark hands and hour markers. The adjustable military green canvas strap allows adjustment to fit any wrist

The watch is 3 ATM waterproof, so splash and rain resistant, great for daily life, but don’t go showering, swimming, or deep sea diving while wearing it!  Each watch comes with its own Ailager® branded silver box with a slide out drawer that displays the timepiece against a black felt padding.
