Grand Cross of the Order of St Maurice and St Lazarus

An excellent reproduction of the Grand Cross of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus. This Grand Cross was awarded by the Kings of Italy, until 1946, when Italy became a Republic. The House of Savoy still grants this order to recipients, despite the order not being ofiicially recognised by the Italian State, for public services, art, science etc.

This Grand Cross comes attached to a vibrant green sash for wearing over the shoulder, and the cross itself is finished in enamel and gilt. This sash would normally be worn along with a badge or a star.
