Product Details

The Hampshire Regiment was a line infantry regiment created as part of the Childers Reforms in 1881 by the amalgamation of the 37th (North Hampshire) Regiment of Foot and the 67th (South Hampshire) Regiment of Foot. In 1946, due to distinguished service in World War II, the regiment was retitled as the Royal Hampshire Regiment. In 1992, was amalgamated with the Queen's Regiment to form a new large regiment, the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment.

Notable conflicts include the Second Boer War, and both World Wars.

This fine reproduction regiment bi-metal badge, features a crowned silver wreath with a tiger in the centre, sitting on a gold curved scroll inscribed 'Royal Hampshire'. It has an aged look, and is designed to be pinned to a beret, but does not come with an attachment pin.
